2011 Step Up Walk- Saturday October 29, 2011 | | The Kansas City Step Up Walk was a smashing success! We have surpassed the $450,000 mark and we're not done yet! Donations will be accepted on-line through December 31, 2011. Thank you to everyone that made this day so special. We had over 400 volunteers donate their time and energy the day of the walk! We thank all of our families for their efforts in raising monies, getting team members to participate and for helping us spread the word about Down syndrome and the walk. A special thank you to all of our sponsors and donors for being so supportive of the Kansas City Down syndrome community.

100% of the proceeds stay in Kansas City to benefit the Down Syndrome Guild of Greater Kansas City. The DSG serves over 1100 families and partners with 22 hospitals, 45 school districts and countless service providers in Kansas and Missouri.
Every dollar you raise will help the DSG continue to provide vital programs and services offering educational and social support to people with Down syndrome, their families and the professionals who serve them. Important work waits to be done to enhance research, education and advocacy programs. Your support is critical in making these programs a reality.

Map and Parking Information  | | The 2011 event will be in Lot C again this year. This lot is on the east side of Arrowhead. We will walk around Arrowhead Stadium again this year, which is one mile in distance.
We ask that our families park in Lots D and or B and walk over to Lot C. There are three entrances into Lot D and all three entrances will be open for you to park. Lot B has two entrances and both will be open.
Vendors and volunteers will be able to park within lot C, on the far west side of Lot C (closest to Arrowhead Stadium). You can access this area through Lot D.
Handicapped individuals will be able to park their cars in Lot D. There are a number of limited spots, so it is first come, first serve.
