Team Tents: We ask that you set up your team tents within the team tent square areas.

For our new teams, this year…Tents are typically usually 10x10 and can be purchased at Sam’s, Costco and Dick’s Sporting Goods. Many of our teams bring their own tents for shade and also as a meeting place, the day of walk.  Teams can stake their “spot” anywhere within the two team tent square areas. Space is first come, first serve.

Each team will also have access to (1)- 6 foot table to have at their team tent area, this year. These tables will be placed within both team tent square areas.  Feel free to grab your table when you arrive that morning. Please note: You will need to bring a tablecloth or some type of covering for the table. If you need additional tables for you group, please bring extras with you, along with chairs and coolers.

We are pleased and excited to announce, that KFC will be providing the walk food this year- starting at 9am! Everyone will enjoy fried chicken, mashed potatoes w/gravy and cole slaw. We will also have hot dogs available, along with fruit, soda and water. Lunch will be served from 9am-12noon

During the event, everyone can also enjoy, Smallcakes, Smoothie King, Blue Bell Ice Cream, Kettle Korn, Krispy Kreme Donuts, Coffee, Milk/Juice and Yogurt.

100% of the proceeds stay in Kansas City to benefit the Down Syndrome Guild of Greater Kansas City. The DSG serves over 1200 families and partners with 22 hospitals, 45 school districts and countless service providers in Kansas and Missouri.

Every dollar you raise will help the DSG continue to provide vital programs and services offering educational and social support to people with Down syndrome, their families and the professionals who serve them. Important work waits to be done to enhance research, education and advocacy programs. Your support is critical in making these programs a reality.

The 2012 event will be held in Lot C again this year. This lot is on the east side of Arrowhead. We will walk around Arrowhead Stadium again this year, which is one mile in distance.

We will have a drop off lane running down the center of the parking lot, in between the two team tent square areas. Click here to see map. The drop off lane will be open as early as 6:30am and we will have volunteers available, to help you unload your cars and assist with your tent set up. We ask that you enter the drop off lane from the south of parking lot C and please proceed north to exit the drop off lane. Please park your cars in lots B and or D. Both of these lots are next to lot C.

For the safety of the kids, we want to avoid cars in parking lot C at 9am, when the event starts. Please plan to come out early.

Handicapped individuals will be able to park their cars in Lot D. There are a number of limited handicapped spots, so it is first come, first serve.

Team of the Week- Line Up for Lily! Lily started kindergarten this year. She loves to walk to school with her big sisters and eat lunch in the cafeteria. Lily's favorite activities are listening and dancing to music, helping Mom cook and riding horses. Congratulations Miss Lily!
